Reshaping Town Government

NJ lets communities use any one of a number of different forms of local government. Millburn's government structure is currently that of a township, a structure dating back to colonial days but revised at the end of the nineteenth century.

A commission has been selected and is meeting over the course of 2026 to research the possibility of a new structure for Millburn's government. If they propose a new structure, it would be submitted for the public to vote on next November.
